Last week I had the opportunity to visit Loch Garmann Antiques & Collectables just outside the village of Ferns in County Wexford and was very pleasantly surprised! My experiences of visiting similar outlets over the years has generally been quite disappointing between the tat being offered and the prices being sought.

Loch Garman Antiques & Collectables is run by William Plummer and has been operating for two years from his premises at Lodgewood, Ferns Y21E6PN. Unlike many similar operations there is little in the way of repro items to be found here and William’s large, and eclectic, stock ranges from old enamel advertising signs, breweriana, radios, cameras, paper ephemera, vintage shop stock, clothing, toys, comics, rural bygones and a lot more besides.

William is happy to take time out to chat to customers and unlike a lot of dealers has a good knowledge of what he is selling. The business is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am – 8.00pm and the latest news can be found on his Facebook page here: Loch-Garman-Antiques
