Flea Markets

Information updated 23/4/2017

Please, please let me know if you have up-to-date news on any venue listed on this page or any other on the site.  Thank you.

As of today (15/3/2017) all new listings on this page will be subject to a non-refundable €5 charge. I’m sorry to have to do this but there are just too many people setting up markets, contacting me for publicity and then not bothering to let me know when they cease trading. Those days are over!

This is one of Ireland’s longest established markets and there are a good variety of traders here most weekends. Being a permanent venue most traders operate from lock-up shop units so there tends to be a much greater amount of stock displayed than in markets where traders bring their stock away with them. A very short walk from Blackrock DART station and the town is also served by the 4, 4A, 7, 7A, 8, 17, 45, and 114 bus routes.

Always worth a look, and there are two good secondhand/antiquarian booksellers nearby too – Raven Books www.ravenbooks.ie at 34 Main Street, and Carraig Books www.carraigbooks.com  at 73 Main Street.

  1. Blackrock is now one of the best places to browse for collectibles in Ireland, with multiple dealers selling Stamps, Postcards, Cigarette Cards, Coins, Banknotes, Comics, Books, Vinyls, CDs and DVDs – there are no pirate copies allowed in this market.

There is also a great selection of original art, crafts, antiques and bric-a-brac. Many professional dealers come here to buy – so there must be bargains !

  2. Went the Big 1 Market in Thurles, Tipperary last Saturday 28th Jun 14.There was nothing there as some of the stalls are now gone due to the Old Fleury Antique Shop is going to be a shopping centre in the future. We were very disappointed with the outcome.

  3. Hi there, I just wanted to let you know about the Coast Road Christmas Fair taking place on Sunday December 6th 2015 in St Anthonys Hall, Clontarf. There will be a great range of Christmas gifts and treats suitable for the whole family, as well as fun and entertainment on the day. Entry is free and the event runs from 10am to 4pm. Check out http://www.facebook.com/coastroadmarket for more details. Thanks!

    1. Hi Sinead,

Thanks for the information and I’ve added the Coast Road Christmas Fair to the Christmas Markets page.

Hi sad to hear sage and stone co meath market is no longer ongoing hopefully it will return as a craft and merchandise market in the future this is easily achieved via a submission form refusing car booters if that’s the kind of market you want to return to the beautiful sage&stone good luck
