TRIM FAIR FINAL

There will be a total of 20 traders taking part in the fair, offering items as diverse as antique silver and engagement rings, home decor, paintings, vintage fashion, rare coins and collectables. Richard Haworth of Laracor Books will be bringing along a nice selection of interesting and unusual titles relevant to the town of Trim, including A Memoir of the Very Rev. Richard Butler, Dean of Clonmacnoise and Vicar of Trim, by his widow (privately printed, 1861, 1st edition, ½ leather binding),The Old House by the Boyne by Mrs J. Sadleir, 19th century reprint; New Grange (Brugh Na Boinne) and Other Incised Tumuli in Ireland by George Coffey, Dublin 1912, 1st edition, The Elephant and the Kangaroo by T.H. White, New York 1947, 1st U.S. edition (a fantasy novel set in and around Trim, Co. Meath, where the author spent W.W. II.), plus original editions of books by Lord Dunsany, F.R. Higgins, Mary Lavin and other Meath writers.

Enjoy a day of hunting for treasure at Dublin’s biggest Antiques Fair. Forty traders will be exhibiting an Aladdin’s cave of fine furniture and decor for the home, sparkling jewels, rare books, fine paintings, plus rare coins and collectables for the enthusiast.

Clontarf Castle is on Castle Avenue, which connects the Howth Road and Clontarf Road. Coming from the city centre (10 minute drive), just follow the road signs for Howth, the Fair will be signposted from Fairview and from Collins Avenue. Bus No. 130 from Middle Abbey Street stops right outside, and runs every 20 minutes.

Royal Marine

Over 40 traders from across Ireland will exhibit at the popular Dublin Southside antiques fair, which will feature furniture & decor, jewellery, old coins and collectables, vintage fashion and more. This regular event takes place in a lovely location, overlooking Dun Laoghaire harbour, in an historic hotel that retains much of its old-world charm, while providing modern and light-filled exhibition facilities. Come out on the DART, and after visiting the Fair you can walk the pier, pick up some gourmet treats at the weekly Sunday market, drop in to Ireland’s only Maritime Museum, or visit the local shops, all within 5 minutes walk, or less, from the hotel.

25 traders will be exhibiting in this lovely venue, offering home décor, silver, porcelain and collectables, rare coins, art, beautiful jewellery, vintage fashion and accessories and lots more.

Located in the heritage town of Celbridge, Celbridge Manor Hotel is a magnificent Georgian building dating from 1732 and designed Thomas Burgh – who also built the famous library at Trinity College. One of the many historic buildings which gives the town of Celbridge its unique character, the building makes for a superb backdrop for an antiques fair, having been restored and upgraded in 2013 by the current owners and including a spacious ballroom, parking for over 300 cars, and all the amenities for a pleasant day out from Dublin, a fine restaurant, comfortable bar and cosy library for afternoon tea.

Dublin Bus

From Dublin you can catch the no 67 from Westmoreland Street. This will drop you off on Main Street. Once here walk back in the same direction that the bus has dropped you off, you will then come to the Clane Road. Bus Eireann

The first Antiques, Vintage & More Fair of 2015 will be held in Clontarf Castle on the 18th January.     I run a website called http://www.allnumis.com , it is not commercial, just a hobby project I’m running in my free time. This is what I want to advertise to the Irish collectors (I’m from Romania and I came to Ireland only few months ago so basically I don’t know any collectors yet).
